Damn, maybe I'm getting old too. Just when my right shoulder was almost healed and I was working out (pretty much) without impairment, I decide to tweak my other shoulder. DAMNIT!
And I don't know what I did or how.

Maybe
It might have been from doing handstands. I don't think I was warmed up enough and my balance is still not that good, I think I maybe have been trying too hard to hold myself from tipping over. Still, I didn't feel anything until about 24 hrs after that....
onset
If the onset was that slow, it probably isn't too bad. Likely just mashed some cartilage or wore a small muscle band down a bit.
Isn't that one-thing-to-the-next annoying though? Man... sucks. My shoulder is almost perfect now, barely ever notice it but the knees haven't improved much for awhile. Well, the one that is supposedly worse is still better than the one that is supposedly better though.
I feel much better today. It
I feel much better today. It was very annoying and I was concerned, especially as the massage therapist that helped me before is MIA. Fortunately it appears to be as you suggested, nothing serious.
Your bad knee is better and your good knee is bad? That's interesting!
swelling
I think it's cause the "good" knee was the one with the damage done to it in the mountains. it recovered, but the tissues still remember how to swell inordinately well.
Man. We're all getting old!
Man. We're all getting old! As in we've had lots of time so far to accrue injuries!
*sigh*
Tis true... I guess that's why people did lead terribly healthy lives past 40 way back when eh? So many (untreated) injuries by that point that they couldn't do much of anything.
Yep
And no time to recover when your livelihood is based on manual labour.
